    CHANGE IN NAME OF THE COMPANY

    A Company may change its name following the process prescribed under Companies Act 2013, with the approval of the Central Government provided that the change of company name shall not:
    Render defective any legal proceedings by or against the company
    Affect any rights or obligations of the company
    Not affect any legal proceedings by or against the company and pending in the old name.

    The change of name shall not be allowed to a company:

    Which has not filed annual returns or financial statements with the Registrar of Companies.
    Which has failed to pay or repay matured deposits or debentures or interest thereon.

    Procedure for name change includes the following steps:

    1. Convening of Board Meeting for approval of change in name of the Company.
    2. Convening of Shareholders meeting for obtaining their approval on change in name of the Company.
    3. Filing of special resolution and altered MOA with the registrar of Companies.
    4. Filing of application for approval of name change along with relevant documents, with the registrar of Companies.
